Battalion Band and, during the few months before April 1940, he played a saxaphone
in a dance band formed by
Dickie Lord,
Tony Verth,
Roy ‘Jake’ Jeffery
and Eric.
Eric died on 20th May 1940, age 21, buried at Abbeville. Based on the date, he was probably killed on the battlefield at Amiens.
